Kuta Beach is a tourist place located south of Kuta, Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia. This area is a tourist destination abroad and has become the mainstay of Bali Island tourist attraction since the early 1970 's. Kuta Beach is also known as Sunset Beach (sunset beach) as opposed to the Sanur Beach. Also, the airfield I Gusti Ngurah Rai is located not far from Kuta.

History

Before becoming a tourist attraction, Kuta is a port of Commerce place the local product is traded to the buyer from outside Bali. In the 19th century, Mads Lange, Denmark, a dealer came to Bali and established a trading base in Kuta. He was expertly negotiating so that her famous among Kings of Bali and the Netherlands.

Furthermore, Hugh Macbeth published a book titled "Praise to Kuta" which contains a call to the local community to set up tourist accommodation facilities. The aim to anticipate the explosion of tourists visiting Bali. The book was later inspiring many to build tourist facilities like lodging, restaurants and entertainment venues.

Kuta Beach is about 10 minutes from the Ngurah Rai International Airport in street conditions smoothly.
